Hi there,
Believing in its great capabilities, I have installed e-smith server in my office (only 3 ppl) but now I can't get the normal pop mail to each user.
Basically we share a single user account, so there is no multidrop or domain names, and I just wanted to configure it so that the reception gets the e-mails, but we can all send email out.
I have configured e-smith for multi-drop, entered the username password for the ISP email, and can send email out, but on the client end, i have the following config:
pop server - pop.isp.com.au
smtp server - e-smith IP address
and get the following error " the host pop.isp.com.au cannot be found", and when I configure it as the e-smith IP address it appears to be fine, but no messages get through.
Please help me.....
thanks.

Use your windows boxes as you would normally, set e-smith back to it's defaults for mail handling once you have done that add a dns suffix search order in the network properties of your windows boxes and all your mail services will work as per normal, if you can't find the dns info from your isp just plug a windows box into your modem, cable, adsl or whatever you are using open a command prompt and type ipconfig and hit enter. It will display your network settings and the dns settings that you need. If you need more detailed info let me know and I can help you out
