A note for newbies learned by virtue of my own mistake...
I used "Ahead Nero Express" to burn a SME 6.0.1 CD just today, using the standard "ISO" settings. It seemed to burn ok and, of course, I had already run an MD5SUM on the source ISO file.
The trouble it gave however was real painful. The installation, although apparently successful, took nearly two hours althogether which was not as expected. No errors were thrown up but the whole process was worse than pulling teeth.
I checked all hardware and cables (a new PC) and all seemed ok.
I decided to dig out an old 5.6 CD and tried that... fast as you can imagine!
So, I decided to burn a new CD using standard "Nero Burning ROM", that I had to pay for rather than the freebie that came with the CD drive yesterday.
Now, 6.0.1 loaded in under 20 minutes including manual setup and initial testing.
:hammer: Is there a moral to this story? Maybe.. stick to what you know and don't try being a clever prat by using new toys! (well... that's my take anyhow!)
Cheers
