My server has started to really go slowly in the last day or so. The harddrive wont stop and there is an annoying lag whenever the server comes in to play as a webserver, for internet access, or general file sharing.
Also, i'm using SMEAdmin and i keep getting emails alerting me that the cpu is at 95%-100% usage.
I think it could be because i put some memory in it (since removed) to see if it would work.
Is there any way to find out what is using all the cpu/hdd and try to stop it?
Thanks.

Thanks! Thats exactly what i needed.
I think it was actually smeAdmin itself that was causing the problem. I could see by using top that smeadmind was constantly using 15-25% of the cpu, perhaps at times spiking to 90%+.
Since i stopped the service and now things are back to normal.
