Hi all,
First time poster, long time reader.
First off, congratulations to the SME crew for creating a great piece of software.
Question time.
Is there a way to setup more than one admin user, or assign users to the admin group?
This is mainly for installing software on windows xp machines.
Cheers
Nigel

I'm not sure if you can.. But take a look at this

You may be to do it from the command line using these tools, I have never used them. but I don't know if it is a good idea.

Thanks for the reply Buddha_Joe.
Is this a limitation of Samba or SME?
I want to give some users permissions to install software without giving them the admin password.
Cheers

Honestly at this point I am not sure. My assumption is that it is SME.... But again that's an assumption.

if there aren't too many pc's you could always create a group, put the required users in and add to the local admins group.
You could even add this group in as part of the installation process of windows if you do an unattended install. see http://unattended.msfn.org/
This site details and unattended install for xp but win2k is almost the same.

for dual admin try this from Greg Zartman
