Title: TOTAL NOOB question
Post by: bart2 on March 01, 2005, 03:25:38 PM
Hi,

I'am just started with the SME server and figured out most of the features but is there a way to view all the user directories in windows explorer, i can only view the files of the user i logged in on the SME server even as admin.

Thanks

It is supposed to be that way. It is a Homedirectory. Here a user can store/save the 'private' data that should not be shared with anyone.

All serversystems (Windows, Novell, Linux) have this security system.

Using the serverconsole you can have access to all the directories when you login as root.

There is a way of course, check this thread: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=26022.msg105802#msg105802, works for me ! Of course it's private data, but that's the advantage of being an admin.
