Title: link opengroupware project with docs in ibays
Post by: msm3333 on March 01, 2005, 06:54:40 PM
Hi all.

just installed opengroupware (ogo) without major problems. Everything seems working fine (even backup, saving als main ogo and pgsql files).

so, next step would be to add the ability to link projects within ogo with files and documents in variuos ibays.

Any idea how I can realize this?

Thanks!

I'm not so sure that you can directly link to a file in an ibay from with in opengroupware.

As I understand it, any files that are being shared through opengroupware, or other groupware products of that nature, would actully be stored in the database as opposed to linking directly to the filesystem.

hi!

i just tried it. I created a link pointing at a file in an ibay. well it worket creating it. But when trying opening it, it fail with the error message:

"Cannot handle link to target /home/e-smith/files/ibays/data/files/..."
Well the path is right. I checked it twice.

So, perhaps ogo does not have enought right. But ogo runs under "root"....

Ideas?

The idea behind is very simple. uploading a file to a project in ogo cannot be modified. But ibays containing all files where everybody is working with. so it would be great to create an connecting between a project an its files in the ibays.
