Title: authenticating SME via Active Directory
Post by: bjoyce on March 02, 2005, 09:24:26 AM
Hi,
I was hoping that there might be a way of only entering in my users information on one box.

I have active directory on W2K3 and use my SME box as the email server and home directories.

I see from the forums that using LDAP is not an option.

Can you use winbind via samba 3.x ??

OR

Maybe I could use the kerberos server in active directory??

In short is there anyway to do this??

Currently I keep a seperate database and use that to create import files for Active Directory and SME (lat-users -a -i filename)

but its a pain.
 :-(

Thanks in advance for any advice, ways out of this.

Brad

I'm still not sure how to handle the e-mail with it, maybe anybody else has any ideas?
