I've installed Version 5 on a P133 with 64Mb, and a 1GB disk. I've installed and configured it Ok, it's running as a dialup server/gateway with 2 PCs connected at the mo. over a 10MB utp network - The NIC in the server is a 3c905. I had a Realtek at first, and replaced ti after reading about all the issues, and I completely reinstalled everything from scratch.
I can ping the server ok, and locally it will run quite happily, but after I've been connected to the internet, or just to the server manager for a few minutes all network activity collapses.
All the hardware is Ok as it is all from working configurations. Like I say I thought it was the realtek card I put in, but the 3com does the same.
Does anybody have any ideas, or have experienced something similar. Should I drop down to 4.1.2 as the specs are fairly close to the bottom recommendation.
thanks for any help received.

You could be running out of disk....(maybe)
1gb is about what you need for a minimal installation! and if you have enabled proxy server, you should think in something bigger for HDD

Thanks for the swift replly, but the Disk useage is 45% for /, and 23% for boot, and it stays at that when I'm browsing.
I managed to trace to NTPD attempting to restart and causing everything to hang.
I'm assuming that NTPD is the Network time service - which I have not configured.
I think I'm going to install 4.1.2 and see how that goes....
... unless anybody has any ideas
cheers
