Title: bad link on FAQ?
Post by: dwater on March 03, 2005, 09:49:47 AM
Hi,

This FAQ :

http://no.longer.valid/phpwiki/index.php/AdministrationFAQ

under '* Which updates do I need to apply to SME?' :

has a link to :

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/smeserver/updates/6.0.1/RPMS/

which doesn't seem to be there.

What does seem to be there is :

ftp://ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/smeserver/updates/6.0.1/i386/

is that the same thing? It doesn't seem to have much in it.

I am trying to upgrade my SME from 6.0 to 6.0.1, in order to install the imaps contrib (gives me lots of failed dependencies).

Max.

That appears to be the same contents. Looks like the folder has been renamed. There are very few "official" updates for sme 6.0.1.

If you are running sme 6.0 look at
ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/e-smith/updates/6.0/RPMS/

OK, I changed it.

I am running 6.0, but the above link seems to point to an empty page.

How should I upgrade from 6.0 to 6.0.1?

Hrm. It was empty when I looked before...not so now :(

I'll have to watch out for that!

Thanks.
