Title: simple dude about kernel compilation
Post by: Normando on March 05, 2005, 05:11:54 AM
The issue is simple
I want to reproduce the exact copy of the sme UP kernel.
What I need.
I have downloaded and installed the devel tools and kernel source.
What are the next steps?
The dude is:
If I load the kernel configuration from boot directory to menuconfig and then save the config file, I have a different size. I don't know why

Why?

The kernel is a RedHat kernel, so you should use google to search for information about recompiling RedHat kernel RPMs.
