I recently rebuilt my server with 6.0.1 and ran the smeplus.sh update script - so I'm running samba-2.2.8a-2cb.
With the fresh install, when I try to connect to my ibays via samba \\<servername>\<ibay> I get "<servername> is not accessible. Acess is denied".
However, when I try this with \\<serverIP>\<ibay> it prompts for a username password and let's me in.
My network workstations are able to ping the server via hostname and just to make sure I've added a hosts entry on my windows box for the server hostname/server ip.
Any ideas on why samba won't work with the <servername>? Is it something I need to add or change in the smb.conf 01access template frag or one of the others?
Thanks for any help... it's not a major problem but would like it to work.
