Hi,
We are just installing a new firewall and need to ensure our users can still access Webmail on our SME server.
I'm unable to find any mention of what ports are required for Webmail. Can anyone help?
-
webmail should be running on https which is port 443
hope that helps
cheers

Can webmail be set to run on non standard ports?

It might help, thanks. I'm using SME 7 and my problem is I already have a web server port 80 and 443 running on another server and I have only one static IP. I need to be able to set the webmail port to something other than those. I was using MDaemon for email / webmail with webmail set to 3000.

What is the other webserver ??
if it's an SME server, you can add a virtual domain, make it point to the server without having to change ports
-
No can do SME is running serveronly behind a firewall so forwarding is not an option. The simplest way to do this is to modify the webmail port.

I was thinking more on the lines of http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=21581.msg85308#msg85308
also there is another suggestion on the same page to use proxypass, give the first a go, that should solve your problem :-)
