Title: RAID: Which ATA100 IDE controller card is compatible?

I´m installing an e-smith 6.0 server with an Intel dual mainboard and I would like to configure it with hardware RAID for two ATA100 IDE drives. I know that not all brands work and I want to get one with which I have no problems. Can anyone tell me one brand? If cheap ...better!

get a 3ware to save yourself a lot of trouble
3ware Escalade 7006-2 IDE RAID, 0&1&JBOD
For various reasons, don't get a Promise card.

Last year I tried one Promise and it didn't work. I'll try the one you say.

I have got a 3ware Escalade 7006-2 IDE RAID and any any any any, absolutely any problem at all. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. :lol:
