I am not sure what happened, but both servers that I have set up seem to have the same issue right now. Whenever I edit an existing user, or create a new user, or delete an old user, or any other server related actions, the networks ability to make http request through the server stops.
So...in laymans terms if that did not make sense, as soon as I make any change to the server, the entire network loses their ability to browse the internet. Anything outside the server is cut-off. However, they can still get and send email, as well as ping outside sources.
Rebooting the server makes the network behave correctly again, yet I know that is not the correct method to fix my problem.
Any ideas?

what does the server log say?

Okay...the stupid question? Which log file should I be looking in?

Look at the messages log file and the squid cache log files. These should show what is the culpret. How many users and what kind of hardware? When this happens, do a top and press the shift button plus the m button. This will show you what processes that are using the most memory.

I reviewed the message files, and so no real issues other than crappy power that flickers and goes off often.
I have isolated the issue down to DansGuardian. Currently, if it is running at all, there is no HTTP access, even at the lowest of settings.
It seems if DansGuardian has become corrupt. This is a huge issue because this is an elementary school and filtering has to be on. But, currently, it is causing the teachers and staff to be unable to do thier work and research.
Here are my message logs for the past two reboots:
http://cwes.weare.k12.nh.us/messages/messages030805.txt
http://cwes.weare.k12.nh.us/messages/messages031505.txt
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Grattman

Can you successfully ping your server both by IP & URL ?
ping 192.168.xx.x
ping www.yourdomain.com
What is the output from
/etc/init.d/tinydns status
/etc/init.d/dnscache status
/etc/init.d/dansguardian status
What is the setting in Server Manager/Review Configuration/DNS server, is it the same IP as your server ?
Did you do anything special or particular to Dansguardian setup ?
