Title: Directory of SMEserver Consultants & Tech Support Provid
Post by: moleboy on March 12, 2005, 03:27:41 AM
Is there such a directory on contribs.org?

My reason for asking is that I'd like to have SMEserver installed on our 3-person office network for mail/VPN/firewall via our ADSL connection.

I've tested it out on the internal network and it seems to do all that we need, but I don't have the confidence to hook it up to the Net and let traffic in.

Our office is near Aberdeen, Scotland and I'm looking for someone who knows what they're doing to configure everything correctly with our existing network and router, and to provide additional remote ad-hoc tech. support for security patches, upgrades etc.

I think a directory of commercial providers broken down by geographic region would help others who are in the same position as me.

Cheers,
Ritchie

Hi Ritchie,

In response to your request I've created a SME Consultants Directory for people who need to find people who can.

It's at http://smefind.no-ip.org

Consultants who build and support SME are encouraged to submit a listing.

It's all free and another way of giving something back to the community.

Thanks for suggesting it!

If you want to search the 'net for sites for SME support that's OK, but I think the point of the post was to have a one-stop location for consultants to show their availability.
That also seems to be a lookout list for changes to interested sites, not a list of people who are willing to help.
