I'm running SME 6.0.1 as server-gateway for a 55 stations network, providing internet access for only 30 stations.
I've installed 'smeserver-ipblock_internet-tg-1.0-b2.noarch.rpm'. All is working but the thing is that with this contrib I have to enter all the ip adresses for the blocked stations (more than 220 IPs). :-(
Is there a way to declare only the MAC or IP addresses that should have access to the internet, and the others to be blocked automaticaly (block all access to internet not only access to squid)?
Best regards,

do a search for proxy authenication, I know there is something there for that, also you could use dansgaurdian follow Ray's howto and you can allow users based on the proxy authentication contrib, I haven't tried it my self but I think people here got it working
hope that helps
cheers

Go to http://www.tech-geeks.org/contrib/loveless/SMEServer/contribs/squidProperties/
and download ther squidProperties-0.3.tar as well as the readme.txt and follow the instructions ... this is if you want to block by IP address only but still allow internal e-mails.
Otherwise install there IPblock internet contrib ...
http://www.tech-geeks.org/contrib/loveless/SMEServer/contribs/ipblock_inet/beta/smeserver-ipblock_internet-tg-1.0-b2.noarch.rpm
that will block them totally from eveything.
Hmm helps if I read past posts ... I just noticed that you already use that contrib ... sory.
