Title: Email Troubles
Post by: derrobe on March 18, 2005, 02:30:48 AM
I have been having alot of troubles with my email lately which most of which stems from my isp blocking port 25 I think but now I can even connect to my local mailserver.  I dont have a firewall between me and the server and the problem is random sort of it will work for an houyr then stop for several then arbitrailly work for a little the stop again.  I reloaded the server using a back up from over a month ago but still have the same problem.  With my email checker program I get login failed on all of my account on the server even the admin.  When I try to connect using out look I get the following message.
Code: [Select]
Task 'mail.byte-this.com-Sending' reported error (0x800ccc0f): "The connection to the server was interrupted.  If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).'

I would contact the admin but he is me......

One other thing when I try to send an email out of the webmail (which I can log into no problems) I get this error message.

Code: [Select]
There was an error sending your message: unable to send data

I am begining to think my mail is totally hosed but hoping for help.

If you have any other connection problems it
might be a hardware problem: NIC, NIC-drivers, Switch, Hub, cabling, etc.

Yup I have the same problem, I found a post saying its related to the transparent proxy...  However it was working before then just one day seems it decided to stop... Maybe it was in an update that I applied that fubbared it.

I dont use the sme server to host e-mail Im trying to access a webserver of mine and I can send e-mails thru webmail account just not the pop3 in outlook..
