Title: Mailman List Manager?
Post by: Smitro on March 20, 2005, 09:38:45 AM
Hi,

Forgive me if I sound like I have no idea, I'm new.

I have my server all setup nice, I would now like to get some mailing lists working. I had a look at the idea of sending to groups. There just doesn't seem to be enough control and flexability.

I installed a package for mailman, I have used mail man before, but I'm not sure if the package I installed was just an upgrade to the way the groups work, or if it was the full mail man program? If it is the full mail man software, how do I configure it? is t configureable through a web page? if so, what is the address?

any help appriciated.

If you don't tell us, which version you had already installed and which one you installed / updated next, we could only guess.

I prefer ezmlm. Download and installation under

http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/rmitchell/smeserver/howto/ezmlm-web%20HOWTO%20for%20sme%20server.htm

After installation you can find a "Mailing List" menu in the Server Manager.

Installed it without a problem.. Thanks.

Not as user friendly as Mail Man, but it should do the trick.

Thanks.
