Hello
I have tried to get ezmlm to work and have ran into a snag
It will work "local" using horde/imp or pine to subscribe but
from the "outside world" it rejects all mails -help -info
etc.
Other email has always worked and is currently working fine
smart-hosted to my isp sbcglobal
I feel it must be a Qmail issue maybe not knowing who or where the account name is.
Here's the error from the outside world
Message from yahoo.com.
Unable to deliver message to the following address(es).
<sme-subscribe@eelriver.com>:
68.126.150.195 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 Sorry, invalid recipient address
Giving up on 68.126.150.195.
Thanks

Do you have the mailblocking rpm installed, or one of it's earlier variants. That may be blocking the messageds as the addresses are not considerd valid.
Quick fix is to save any user account and that should rebuild knowledge of newly added mail lists.
Permanent fix is to install the latest dungog mailblocking rpm as this fixes the above issue.

Thanks for the responce Ray
I removed all of the ezmlm rpms and reinstalled
after a signsl email-update and reboot
Now it will not work at all some error claims
a problem with the ezmlm-web.cgi
Again thanks
I have given up after about 7 hours neither ezmlm or mailman will work
I have checked my list of installed rpms and see nothing that should do it other than I had installed qmhandle and I believe updated mailfront, only other mail rpms are sa & clam av

testing a sme 6.0 to 6.5 jump - 7.0 is outdated ie: centos 3.4
and not very happy with a lot of contribs

That's an error message generated by mailfront/smtpfront-qmail when it rejects a smtp message. I don't think your (original) problem was with ezmlm. Perhaps there are some issues with sme 6.5. Are you doing this on sme 6.5 ?
check for any of these
rpm -q dungog-mailblocking
rpm -q e-smith-domain_mail_user
rpm -q dmc-mitel-mailrules

Gee, what do you expect (for free)
7.0 is an alpha release for testing ONLY
and
6.5 RC1 is a release candidate for tesing ONLY also !

Fast to jump !
sme 6.5 most contribs are happy
sme 7.0 near none are happy
not complaining AT ALL
but I do see a greater level of help that just says search or read the manual I myself try to help if I can
I also feel that contibs.org is unstable at this time
alot of people ready to jump on others or reply with poor comments and little to no help, members be booted then reinstated
my 2 cents I hope Charlie Brady will keep up his fine work on sme 7.0 then I will make the move
