Title: recovering a deleted file

A user deleted a (important) file on his home dir. He uses this home dir as a networkdrive on a Windows XP computer.
In Windows there is no trace of the file (f.i. not in the recycle bin). And the file was not yet on the latest backup.
Is there a possibility to recover the file from the server itself?

Files that you delete from a networkshare are never put into the Windows recyclebin. This has always been the case.
If it was not in the latest backup, it is gone.

For the future, it might be a good idea to install the samba recyclebin contrib.
