Title: Problems with webmail

I am new to SME server.  The 1st time I loaded it, webmail worked right away.  This time, it gives me this weird error.  There is only one SME server on the network.

Here is the error when i try to goto http://mydomain.com/webmail

"A fatal error has occurred:

DB Error: connect failed

[line 108 of /home/httpd/html/horde/lib/Prefs/sql.php]

Details have been logged for the administrator."

What logfile is it referring to?  How can I fix this?

Hi bzuelly,

I had a similar problem when I added new NIC and webmail died and i could not log in.

You can try this and it may fix your problem

step 1
log in as root

step 2
enter the following codes

Code: [Select]

/sbin/e-smith/config setprop horde DbPassword horde

Code: [Select]

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event post-upgrade

Code: [Select]

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event reboot

Quail_Linux,

Thanks for the help.  It was a fast and easy fix.  Just a couple clicks back and forth on my omni cube and a reboot.  Walaa.  Its working.

On another note, could you suggest a good place to read up on some linux commands.  I am planning to run moveable type(a free weblog software) and will need to do some intense configurations(intense to me anyways)
