Hi,
I have a big problem. I change my primary domain on sme server to another, and now if I open a browser and type "www.myolddomain.com" I receive an "Under construction page" instead the page hosted from my ISP, if I type "www.myolddomain.com/index.html" I receive the exact page.
What happend on my server?
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Hi there,
I see at the time of posting this that your query has had 19 views. I'm sure people are reading it and thinking that they really want to help but you have not provided enough information.
Can you be a little bit more specific and try to explain what you might have done to reach this situation and I'm sure one of the guys here would be happy to lend a hand.
Did you buy a new domain name and then changed the domain on SME to match it? If so, why would you want to go to the old domain?
Cheers,
Arthur

Hi,
This is just an idea, but have you deleted the index.htm file that might be there saying "Under Construction"
This could be the problem you are having as you might have 2 indexes. eg index.htm, index.html or index.php etc

Hi,
thanks too all for interesting.
For an error, in the configuration of sme I write my external domain, not my internal domain.
When I correct it, my internal domain is ok, respond on www, ftp... but when i try to connect to my external domain, i receive "under construction page" but if i connect to my external domain on sme with lynx, is ok.
On sme there is only one domain, my internal.
I try to put on sme external domain and set global ip to my hosted domain, but don't change.
I try to create virtual domain, set global ip, don't change.
Thanks.

You need to wait several hours for this to work sometimes.
I am assuming here that your website is hosted externally and that you wish to access it from behind your SME server.
Set domain name e.g www.mydomain.com in server manager under Hosts and Domain names as external with the ip address of your external website and publish globally. This may take considerable time before it becomes effective.
You can still access your local primary domain by http://mydomain.com if you wish to.
