Title: Problem with remote access terminating itself (PPTP & SS

Hi all

Gota a prob that someonelse may have already solved (heres hoping).  Systems are running 6.0.1 & have  plenty of disk space & RAM.

On 2 sites only remote access works but kicks me off within a coupla minutes.  This occurs regardless of type of access (PPTP VPN, SSH).  I have tried different routers infront of the boxes to no avail.  The logs provide no clue as they just show the services shutting down and reinitialising themselves.

I have upgraded SSH to the latest secure release (3.9p1).

Systems have quite a few extra contribs added but nothing thats not systems that work fine.  Security patches have been installed.

Any pointers as to where to look to glean more info, relationship between VPN & SSH (if any).

I'd rather not do a rebuild but will if necessary.

I was pondering log file perms or somesuch obscure issue that is indirectly related bu enough to be an issue.

Any & all help appreciated.

and what description / cause of the disconnect does your client get?
