Is there any other software similar to E-Smith server/gateway software that others have used here?

www.axonlinux.org is a distro based on e-smith 4.1.2, but it has some very interesting enhancements.  It is still in its infancy, but it may be the next best thing for people who want an ultra-simple multifunction server.

Before discovering e-smith.  I had looked NetMax.  www.netmax.com

It does not have a freely available version.  I have also come to like e-smith's template approach much better than netmax's more closed approach.   ( though it is still all based on opensource software Apache, Samba etc.)
