Title: "Cannot load profile" error on SME V5?
Post by: Patrick Basile on October 19, 2001, 09:26:28 PM
Does anyone know why I am getting the "Cannot load profile" error when I login to my SME V5 server?  Just to make this a bit tougher for you - when I use a different username, the profile loads and the login goes without error/message.

Hi Patrick,

Check the rights of this user and the rights of his home dir.

Maybe this will tell you more...

RequestedDeletion,

Thanks for your tip, but this user has no different 'rights' than my other users - who can login to the domain without any trouble or error messages.  I think that somehow this particular user has been corrupted on the Linux server somehow.

Anyone else have ideas?

Thanks.
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Maybe should try to remove this users profile while he's logged off. If things are well, after he logs in again there should be a new profile created when the user logs off again on basis of his local profile.

Worked for me one time.
