Hi
I am having trouble with ATA drivers for my mainboard, it seems that the kernel dont like SIS controler.
The kernel found an "ATA 16" so i get really poor transfer rates.
Mainboard is : ASROCK K7S41 with ATA133 controler
I need an updated kernel for sis based mainboards.
Thanks

Maybe try sme 6.5RC1. It has a newer kernel.

Thank you Ray but i prefer getting a stable version, i already try 6.5rc1 and it's working with my ATA133 supported.
I really need a stable kernel for 6.0.1

for a howto & the same site for newer kernels; dunno if these will do the job but I s'pose its worth a try (pref on a test setup)

Thanks for the link
I tried to kernel upgrade but after that there was some trouble with usb devices.
I noticed that sme 6.5rc1 also dont support sis5513 controler, the new drivers are supposed to fix this this would be good if they include all this in the 6.5 release.
