Title: Subdomain controller with SME?
Post by: mitko on April 09, 2005, 08:50:06 PM
Hello,

i tried SME Server this week and was greatly impressed !

To make it useful for me i was wondering if it would be possible to setup a subdomain controller by use of SME Server.

Here is my scenario:

My company operates a M$2003 domain server at mycompany.com.

My group has about 10 win pc-s wich are at the moment in local network behind IPcop firewall and unaccessible from the net.

I wish to set up a SME Server as a subdomain controller for  mygroup.mycompany.com
So that from outside the pc7 (e.g.) from the local network could be adresed as a pc7.mygroup.mycompany.com

Do you think SME Server can handle it? Even behind IPcop?

Any teaching greatly apreshiated !

best regards mitko
