Hi Jack,

Can I ask, why would you want to restart your server every week ???

"reboot" or "/sbin/shutdown -r" as a cronjob ... and if you search, you can find a contrib to control the cron daemon.

I setup a SME server as my domino mail server mailfront. I find that the SME server is unstable as a email anti-virus & spam gateway . The SME server mailfront no respond sometimes..

I'd have to suggest that either you have a hardware problem - flaky network card ? - or your SME is misconfigured as SME works superbly as a a/v a/spam mailfront for Domino (even when its one and the same server).

It'll not respond if there are too many connections.

It'll also not respond if your system is heavily overloaded - which can happen sometimes with spamassassin and a heavy spam load.

Have you looked in any log files?
