Hi All-
So we have a server running 6.0beta3 and I'd like to get this up to a more stable version. What's easiest/best to do? Go to 6.0.1? Go to 6.5rc1?
How hard is the upgrade procedure? Should I just be able to do an inplace upgrade and have everything work?
Thanks in advance for any help,

Hello,
I would recomend 6.01 if you have a production server, 6.5rc1 is a beta.
I did an upgrade (on the same disk) from 5.5 to 5.6 to 6.01 and I have had great luck with 6.01, add in the spam and antivirus filter from www.sme.swerts-knudsen.com and you are in business. We have about 200 users and everything runs great.
From what I have heard 6.0 is very similar to 6.01, so I wouldn't suspect you to run into a problem, except for the webmail bug (check the bug tracker).
Either way, make sure to do a full backup first.
Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

So what exactly do I do for the upgrade? Do I boot the 6.01 CD in the current server? Or just insert and mount it and go execute something?
Thanks,

Booting from the new (version) cd should work fine. I'm not aware of any other options.
It will give the option to upgrade instead of the usual "type install to continue" after detecting the previous installation..

So what exactly do I do for the upgrade?
A good place to start would be to read the Fine Manual.
