Title: Swap Memory Question
Post by: mgoodridge on April 19, 2005, 01:45:32 PM
I am currently using SME server 6.0.1-01 as a firewall. I recently upgraded the memory (from 128 Mb to about 588 Mb). Before the upgrade my swap file size was about 48 Mb (according to the Memory Utilization graph in System Monitor). After I added the new memory sticks and re-booted, the swap file was 0 Mb and has stayed there for a day. This seems strange to me. Any comments, observations, fixes??

Thanks

Seems like with 588 MB no swap is needed yet. Type "top" at shell and look at swap.
