I have purchased a good old fasttrack tx2 promise raid controller to do a little mirror testing on my 6.0.1 server. I was having problems getting 6.0.1 to load with the controller installed. I did a little research and downloaded the promise drivers for RH 7.3 and made my driver disk per the readme instructions. When installing 6.0.1 I hold down on the shift key and type in "accept dd" so that the install asked for a driver disk. I slap in my driver disk and it alway comes back that it is not a driver disk or it can't mount the floppy. I can boot from the floppy on this computer so I know the drive is not bad. I am wondering if I am doing the right process and is it possible to load drivers with SME? The Red Hat web site said this card is compatible and basically give the same instructions on how to load the drivers.
thanks much

And the drivers are not located in a subdirectory?

Im using the exact same RAID card you would be there too.
My problem is i can install the OS, then i goto reboot, and nufin, first time i did it i installed on one drive, then made the image from that, per the instructions in the tx2 manual, but i got a kernel panic.
Then i reformatted the drives, and reinstalled as a mirror RAID, and now that all comes up is the letters LI after reebot.
