benjamin,
how did you get your dsl to work with e-smith?
i've tried to use the pppoe setting (as my residential dsl is a dynamic ip) with my username and password. do i have to use the DHCP w/ address as identifier as my external interface?
i've tried dyndns.org ( i have the username and password) but i can't get the e-smith to connect to the internet. . .
on the admin panel it keeps showing me an external ip . . .which shouldn't be correct?
anyway, could you tell me what steps youtook in order to get it to connect to dsl?
thanks alot

I've got Ameritech DSL with a westell modem and dynamic IP. I got it working very on the first try, but I honestly don't remember all the steps I went through.
Below are my console configurations. I know I did NOT enter that 64.108.76.3 IP, The PPPoE driver must be doing it. I just entered the local IP addresess and subnet mask info and it worked.
Hope this helps a little.....
