Hi,

Is it possible to access a mysql db on a 6.0.1 server from the internet?

YES

1° Install the Firewall Management contrib for sme

2° open the tcp port 3306

I would think twice before enable it. Consider using VPN instead.

Is the FireWall Management contrib needed for a Server only install of SME?
