Hi,
i have some problems with a Dell PowerEdge 800 server wich have Sata HHD's and i made it run raid ( useing the SME server 7 alpha x )
i got it to work running with no raid but as soon as i set up the raid it tells me that no hard drives are found.. i would just like to know if anyone knows how to fix this problem ( dl a driver somewhere or something simple )
I Dl'ed a driver from Dells homepage that should work with redhat but then if i type " linux dd " as the installation says i should then it just sais something about " linux " aint found..
and if non knows how to do this can anyone then give me a link or something on howto setup software raid on the sme server if its possible..
Thx for the help.
Kasper
\\edit: and i would be happy if anyone knew how to get one of the older versions to run it.. so i dont have to run with a alpha...

No SATA in older versions. If you want to help, post a bug in the Bug Tracker about your Dell SATA issues, but only after trying the LATEST alpha version. And search the archives for SATA; it's been an increasingly common topic in recent months, mostly as in "it doesn't work yet in RedHat 7.3-based versions."

i used SME server 7 alpha x(the new one),
ill give 6.5 RC1 a try since i read that it should work with some Sata disks, and then just set up a software raid and that should also be do-able from what i read / got told..
but thx alot for the reply :D.. i wont report it as a bug as i dont really see it as a bug but a missing driver or something like that..
