Hi All
I'm trying 6.5RC1 and it seems really nice (apart from my gigabit issue). If I used 6.5RC1 for production, will there be an easy path to upgrade the install to v7?
If there isn't, then I'll wait for 7. In the meantime, I'm trying CentOS 4 to see if it has the gigabit issue.
Cheers!

Don't use either one on a production machine. There's no telling whether or not there will be ANY sort of upgrade path from 6.5 to 7. Personally, I don't intend to upgrade any machines to 7.0; with such a fundamental change in the underlying OS I will only reformat and install from scratch. Once SME 7 comes out of beta, that is.

thanks for the reply. I think I'll stick with OSX for the time being

When you say there is no upgrade path, do you mean applications/contribs, user data, or both?
I am very keen to migrate to 6.5 at some point, but at the machine is used to store a few web sites and a smattering of email, all I really care about migrating is the user data.
