Title: No Update Panel in 6.5?
Post by: Black on May 01, 2005, 10:52:17 PM
I noticed this is gone. Although i've tried it before on version 6 and thought it was buggy and confusing I had hope for it.

Thanks

No lst time i installed Version 6 it was there.. it said update system and when you clicked on it it took you to this site for updates..

it was confusing because you couldn't tell what was an update and what was an old file. For example i ran  an RPM that I thought was going to update my awestats and it killed my awestats instead.

Of what you are speaking of: this is a contrib. It is optional. It is not in the default installation. You can find it here:  http://www.dungog.net/sme/files/ : sme-server-update-system-1.0-2

Maybe you used the custom ISO from http://www.keane.co.nz I am pretty sure the update panel was included in that version.

Hi,

I got the Server Update rpm from Dungog's site.

Does anyone have other URLs to put in there to check for updates?  Is there one for contribs.org?

Thanks!
