Hi all,
I just downloaded Panda Anti-Virus software for Linux (beta version, freely available, www.pandasoftware.com) and I'm going to install it.
Being rather newbee with Linux, I have noticed that complying to guidelines regarding the directory structure was important, but I lack reference info about where to create directories for applications.
1) Generally speaking, where in the directory structure should I install apps?
2) If I install this app (or any other) as rpm, has the install procedure decided once and for all (and for the better) where the installed program will be?
Thanks in advance for your time,
