Title: login using shh/putty as a user instead of root

i read previous msg about login to root using ssh/putty. my questions is how to use user instead of root to access thru server using putty or ssh?

The easy way is to get dungog shellaccess contrib.  The other way is to search the forum, there was a post a few days ago outlining how to do this by editing the /etc/passwd file and manually changing the shell.  You may also find an answer here:
