**Better Explained**

Hello Everyone

Before I get my hands very dirty I want some advice.

I want to setup an A Record to point to an internal ip (ex. 192.168.0.X)

I have accomplished this with BIND on a sun server before. I'm still researching but if anyone had advice or another 'forum post' that will help, I'd appreciate it.

Simply go to 'Hostnames and addresses' in your server manager and click 'Add hostname'. Set 'Location' to 'Local' and enter the hostname. In the next screen you enter the (local) ip address and optionally a mac address.

That should do the job. At least it works for me...  :-)

That was the first thing I tried. I couldn't find anything else in the server manager that could do what I needed.

Thats why I thought about doing it behind the scenes of server manager.

Sorry for the delay in my response. I put 22 hours of OT on my last check, for 10 days. Looks like I might get another 22 hours of OT lol.
