Title: Hosting of virtual domain web pages
Post by: amf on May 11, 2005, 11:09:14 PM
I am sure this has been addressed before, but I couldn't find a posting.  I have my primary domain, and its web pages are coming out of /home/e-smith/files/ibays/Primary/html (I believe) and another domain set up with an ibay also.  The primary web site is fine, but the web pages for the virtual domain are prompting for a user and password.
I don't believe it is looking in the /home/e-smith/files/ibays/xxxxxxxx.org/html directory.

Can someone point me in the right direction for getting the second domains web site to be viewable?

I don't believe I am suppose to mess with the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file, but there are listings in there for the primary and virtual domain.

The primary lists the vrtual domains ibay also,  I think that is where the prompting for a username/password is coming from.

Look at the i-bay settings for that i-bay. My guess is you've asked for it to be password protected.

The problem is that  Public access via web or anonymous ftp should be set to Entire Internet (no password required)

Thanks, I must have toggled off that.  Everything web related is working fine now.
