Title: access webshare with windows or another file explorer

Hi,

i am trying to access my webshares with windows explorer or another file explorer.

I would like to copy some files in the shares, but i got no rights to copy in or out over the explorer.

How can i realize that?.

If you are familiar with Samba, you should treat i-bay as it is.

You need to check how you assign the right for your i-bay. Did you assign the 'write' right for the Group ? PLS CHECK ?

What you want is the webdav stuff.

Way different than the webshare stuff.

From my understanding you install Webshare to a ibay so you should be able to access it through your LAN

Hey isi,
Webshare(devinfo-mitel-webshare-0.0.1-3.noarch.rpm by Darrell May, Jon Blakely, Garret <ruffdogs.com>), is installed in the /opt/webshare/<webshare-dir-name>.
When the contrib is installed, you create a webshare through a Server-Manager Panel, give it users and a password. The webshares are SSL, and aliased to https://domain.com/webshare/<your-webshare>. If you decide to use this contrib, you will also need perl-Apache-Htpasswd-1.3-10.i386.rpm (by Darrell May, Jon Blakely, Garret <ruffdogs.com>), and a file manager of your choice. I use phpfm.0.2.3.tar.gz (by Morten Bojsen-Hansen), which is very handy, and allows for veiwing, editing, create dirs or files.

Thank you, phpfm is great.

But, do i have to install phpfm in all the webshares i have?. It looks that way.

(How many webshares do you have or need?)

Yes. This would allow you to customize the look or feel or access rights to a webshare on an "as-needed" basis.

Give us some more input on exactly what it is you need or hope, to achieve, someone may have a better answer.
It takes less than 20 minutes to get this up and running the first time. About 10 minutes or less there after to set-up a new webshare properly.

Hi,

i've got some webshares running. For each friend a webshare.  :roll:   :pint:

So i am uploading some files on the webshare from my workstation. This files i am storing are only for the eyes of the webshares owner.


I'm looking for a solution to handle it like a NFS Storage, that is accessible from lan and Wan.

is there a way to connect(redirect a drive) to a webshare using windows.
without using the webbrowser.
i know this posting is old but it is on the subject
