I have been searching, and reading until I am fairly confused. What I want to do is add a second hard drive (same size, brand, model, ect. as current drive) to enable raid 1 to a SME 6.0.1 customized server that currently has only one hard drive. It looks like the easiest way is to back up the server, install the second hard drive, and reinstall sme. I do not want to have to reinstall all the addons that I have.
Which one of the backup programs would be best? Can some one point me in the right direction? The server is currently operational, and I would like to keep the downtime to a minimum.
Thanks
Bob

crazy bob,
I posed a question like this a while back, and backing up, installing new drive, re-install with software raid, restore data, re-install contribs was the easiest way to go.
I also tried to setup raid 1 manually, but could never get that to work.

Thanks for the reply. Which backup did you use? I have just added backup2ws, and did a 911 backup.

I just do a regular backup. I am using flexbackup 1.2.1 and mbuffer instead of buffer. mbuffer cut my backup time way down.
