Title: How to filter printer visibility?
Post by: Jerry Karn on October 30, 2001, 06:34:22 PM
Hello all,

I want a SME/Samba to share and serve > 300 printers.

But, when a user browses my SME server, e.g.:   \sme-server\printers

I only want them to "see" the 2 or 3 printers they're authorized to see, not
all of them. The rest of the printers **must** remain invisible to the user

Can this be done?  It isn't enough for us to simply deny access,  we don't
want the users to know that all the other printers are there.

Novell can do this, and I can't ditch Novell unless this problem is resolved
in SME.

Many many thanks for any help you can provide.
