Title: Accessing I-Bays
Post by: dtroy on October 31, 2001, 03:23:23 PM
Guys n Gals,
 I'm a complete newbie to e-smith and I've gotten so far with it at the moment but I've hit a brick wall. The problem is the following, I'm not been allowed to logon to the I-Bay with a regonised Username or Pwd. I've used the User Name and Password and alos the Username and I-Bay Password and neither seems to allow acess . In the log file it gives this

Oct 31 12:24:59 beech PAM_pwdb[4813]: authentication failure; (uid=100) -> juni0r for pwauth service

The Username is spelt with a Zero and not an 0

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

TIA
Derek

HI,

your username for an i-bay is your i-bay name. For instance: if you create an i-bay that's called phpMyAdmin and you put a password nimdAyMphp on it, you would enter this as username: phpMyAdmin and password nimdAyMphp

hope this helps!

I can see the contents of the i-bay, but how can i modify it. i have tried every single way. I am using a 4.1.1 and a 5.0 servers. On LAN everything works fine, but from outside i cant add files.

Can you help me how to do that?

Thanks
