Title: email forwarding Q
Post by: Kobus on June 03, 2005, 09:13:16 PM
Hi all

I searched but alas was unable to find a solution so here goes:

I have a few domains receiving email on my 6.0.2 SME. What i want to do is for user1@domain1 to be forwarded to user1

user1@domain2 forwarded to user2

user1@doamin3 forwarded to user3

so in other words i have 5 domains.
domain1
domain2
domain3
domain4
domain5

all with a user called info

i want info@domain1 to be forwarded to dom1_info user account and so on

would really appreciate it someon could assist with this one.

kbensch,

I have this set up on my machine using procmail to filter the mail.  For instance:

info@domain1.com -> user1
info@domain2.com -> user2
info@domain3.com -> user3

Just set the filter in procmail via the user-manager panel (as del suggested) to filter based on domain1, domain2 and domain3 and forward appropriately.  Works like a charm.

I'm suprised you did not find this, you should always click on the Show all Results links.

I searched on "email" and found it first go under Web Links
