I have a serious problem...I am not getting mail to my 'admin' account. (FYI - I upgraded from 4.1.2 to V5 yesterday.) I think I know the problem, but don't have the answer to fix it. I accidently deleted the ../Maildir/cur directory when I was using MC to see files last night (trying to diagnose my OTHER problem after the upgrade - Fetchmail. I created a new ../cur directory, but apparently that didn't work.
I can see mail in the /home/e-smith/Maildir/new directory, and when I view it it is system messages, and the mail debug I asked for...all of which are supposed to be showing up in my 'admin' mailbox. But when I login to 'admin' account thru IMP - no email.
I obviously messed something up when I deleted (stupid me! aargh) the ../cur directory last night. Does anyone know how I can fix this mistake? I'm dead in the water right now! :(
Thanks for your help...I need it.
Regards,
Patrick
PS - Does anyone have more specific instructions for setting up the new multi-pop Fetchmail? These two files: fetchmail-5.8.17-1 and e-smith-fetchmail-0.2-7.

i guess you have checked the permissions.ownership
or
redirect admin to your own account

Patrick,
I use Vincent Filali's multi-pop fetchmail generator as well. Which part do you need help with ? I don't know ALL the options but I know enough to get my particular config working. I don't mind sharing what I know if you don't mind experimenting :) .

Stephen/Kelvin,
Thanks for responding. It turns out the directory permissions were wrong for ../cur, so I changed them so that the owner and group was the 'admin' user. Seems to have fixed the problem as email is now getting to that box.
As far as fetchmail, I was able to "test" and figure out what I needed to get that working as well. I was having trouble with the first screen of options when you launch the panel, where it asks you whether to use e-smith multi-pop or not. I was just confused I guess. I'm no programmer, but more "help" on how to configure that would be nice. Oh well.
Thanks for your tips/ideas/help!
Regards,
Patrick
