I have just installed sme 7 alpha 3, as a clean install but i've noticed that there is alpha version 17 out is there a way i can get my SME server to update itself when now version are released (using RSYNC or some other way of updating it)
or do i have to download each new alpha release and simply run the upgrade from the cd ??
thanks

these alpha releases are strickly for testing and bug reporting. because of this, the only way to update is through creating a new cd. :-(
edit:
OK, I lied. There is zsync, but it is only for the ISOs that are downloaded.

so how does zsync work ? i used it to download the alpha 17 and but nero wouldnt recognise the image file so i just downloaded the normal iso using wget and used that worked ok.
Has anyone else installed alpha 17 ok, with what settings ? mine seems to run fine but i'm only using it in server-only mode with no dhcp.
