Title: Different SSL Certificates for domains on server
Post by: kyle_11 on June 06, 2005, 10:10:03 PM
Hi, any one I am trying to put a different SSL certifiates on each of atleast 2 different domains on myserver. It is a SME 6.01. I can't get the server to send anything but the single SSL certificate that is on the Primary domain. Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

This is a FAQ.

It's just not possible (unless you run each domain on a separate IP address or port). The web server needs to use the certificate to negotiate SSL (on port 443) before it learns what URL is being requested (i.e what virtual domain is being requested).
