Title: unable to scan $HOME/Maildir
Post by: Damian on June 07, 2005, 09:55:14 PM
SME 6.01 with Knuddi's SA and Clamav updates.

When one user tries to get mail via POP3 to OL2003 she get's this message and mail "sometimes" downloads. Uploads are OK (outgoing mail). Webmail works fine. Other 23 users work fine.

She has 9200 emails in Inbox and I read somewhere that a qmail softlimit may be set too low. The recommended place to look for the setting doesn't exist (seemingly) on SME so I can't change it.

I checked and her $HOME/Maildir looks fine - permissions and structure.

Any ideas ?

Reduce the quantity of mails for example by splitting them in different folders (=subdiretories) or just delete the unimportant ones.

And then check for further errors.

Hi Stefan,

I've moved 1800 mails out and will see if the problem is there tomorrow. As an OL2003 user she just uses SME as a POP server but sorts all her mail in her PST file. Therefore there's just the basic Inbox/Sent/Drafts combination on SME.

Thanks
