Title: Installing osCommerce
Post by: arnoldob on June 08, 2005, 02:45:44 AM
Hello,
I was trying to follow the install instructions from:
http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/cjensen/smeserver/contrib/osCommerce/SME6.x/docs/html/store_setup.html
to install oscommerce on my SME 6.0.1 box.

I get to the end successfully, no obvious breakage or errors. At the very end I click on the button for the Admnistration Tool and get an error saying table oscommerce.adminstrators does not exist. I noticed there's was a second sql file in the catalog/install directory called adminstrators.sql. I imported that file into my oscommerce db and was able to get the past the error to the admin tool login. Unfortunately admin/admin doesn't work for the userid/password has stated in the documentation.

I've dropped and recreated the oscommerce db several times, uninstalled smeserver-osCommerce-2.0-04cdj.noarch.rpm deleted the catalog directory and reinstalled the rpm. I also downloaded another copy of the rpm and tried it. Same result each time. The messages log has nothing about this. Any ideas out there?

Thanks
Sonny

No idea except to ask Craig Jensen directly. You'll find him at http://www.acenet-tech.org.
